Instructions
- Warm the wine with the sugar, orange juice, and anise. Bring to a low rolling boil, then turn down to simmer for 15 minutes. Add pears and continue cooking until they are tender, set aside in two bowls. Let the liquid continue to reduce to a syrup stage (another 30 minutes). Serve hot (energy, creativity and motivation or cold (symbolizing the Cold Moon of January).
