Yule or Christmas Cabbage & Beer Charm Recipe

- 1/2 Pound Bacon Bits (Crunchy)
- 1 Each Onion (Sliced)
- To taste Ground Pepper & Salt
- 1/4 Cup Hot Mustard (Alternatively stone ground mustard)
- 1/2 Head Green Cabbage (Cut roughly)
- 1/2 Head Red Cabbage (Shredded)
- 2 Cups Amber Ale (Alternatively dark beer)
- 1/2 Cup Heavy cream

Instructions
- Save some of the drippings from the bacon in which to lightly brown the onions and pepper. Chop or slice the onions, visualizing love, luck and happiness for everyone gathered. Add the mustard, cabbage, and a little salt, sautéing for 5 minutes. Pour in the beer and cook for an additional 20 minutes, stirring regularly so the liquid reduces. Add the cream, covering the pan for 10 minutes before serving.!

Cabbage is one of the oldest foods in human history. Magically it comes under the rule of the moon and the water element, both of which support positive emotions. Beer is considered the beverage for everyone, often shared with friends during fun gatherings.
There's no reason you can't prepare this on Solstice (with or without guests). For something a little hardier add cooked, shredded corn beef which also inspires good fortune.
This goes over rice or noodles quite nicely.
